This no-knead bread requires only three ingredients and is a delicious and easy staple that you can make in your own homes! Although it does take 24 hours, we can assure you that it’s worth the time.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of any flour
- ¼ teaspoon yeast
- 1 ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ⅝ cup water
*⅝ cup is equivalent to ½ cup and 2 tablespoons
Preparation:
- Combine all ingredients into a bowl. Mix just until the dough looks shaggy and a little wet. Cover with plastic wrap and then set aside for 12-18 hours.
- After 12-18 hours, the dough should be bubbly and you should see that it has risen significantly.
- Flour your surface and take the dough out of the bowl. Fold the dough over 2-3 times only. Put back into the bowl and set aside for 15 minutes. It should be loosely covered.
- Place more flour on your surface. Make your dough into a ball. Take a kitchen towel and coat it with a little flour, then place the dough ball into it and wrap loosely. Set aside for 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450F. While preheating, place the pan (that you will later put the dough into) in the oven.
- Once ready, place the dough ball into the pan and cover it. You can use an actual pan cover or make your own using tin foil.
- Cook for 30 minutes covered. Then uncover and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes and then enjoy!
