Bank Street’s own Shuber Naranjo will once again be heading the Spanish Immersion programs this summer at the Summer Camp. Shuber had this to say about the upcoming programs.

Foreign language learning today has become exactly that. We memorize by rote a few words, we take a few tests and when language learning is no longer a requirement, we forget everything immediately.
At Bank Street Summer Camp, children hear, practice and learn Spanish while enjoying summertime fun. Our campers spend each week immersed in the language while playing, singing, creating art, swimming, and interacting with Spanish speaking counselors. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun.
A week or more of Bank Street Summer Camp is guaranteed to boost your child’s language ability. They just listen, absorb and speak. Being in an immersion environment helps language learners to learn a target language naturally, the way it should be.
