Event Title:
Library Salon 23: Mexican folk art in children’s literature

Description:
Join us and learn about Bank Street Center for Children’s Literature director Cynthia Weill’s process of making the art work with artisanal families in rural Mexico for three books in her folk art series.  She will discuss aspects of this intercultural collaboration and mention some of the more humorous moments of cultural and artistic miscommunication experienced by both sides.
