Lessons Learned from the Marriage Equality Movement:
A Conversation with Marc Solomon

Description:
The LGBTQ Affinity Group welcomes Marc Solomon, former National Campaign Director for the Freedom to Marry Coalition and author of “Winning Marriage: The Inside Story of How Same-Sex Couples Took on the Politicians and Pundits—and Won”, for an interactive conversation about effecting social change in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.  Drawing from his experience on the front lines of the marriage equality movement, first in Massachusetts (where he played on the same gay men’s softball team as our Head of School!) and then nationwide, Marc will share lessons learned and speak to possibilities for social progress in the current political climate.  Click here for a sense of how the success of the marriage equality movement might apply other progressive social movements.
