Bank Street School for Children '86

The School for Children helped me discover my passion for mathematics and science. It was that passion that guided me through high school, college, and now my career.

LuAnna Lemon, SFC ’86, is a Dynamic Oncology & Infectious Disease In Vivo Pharmaceutical Scientist working in the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics. She has worked in the industry for over 25 years and has experience at a number of top 10 pharmaceutical companies, including both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. While at Pfizer she was directly involved with the development of new antibacterials and cancer therapeutics, notably: Mylotarg, Bosulif, and Ibrance. She is most proud of her work with Ibrance, a drug that treats metastatic breast cancer. Just last year, this drug was approved to treat male breast cancer, a huge accomplishment in the field of male breast cancer, and LuAnna is very proud of her work with this team.
