The Bank Street School for Children is an independent, coed preschool through eighth grade school on the Upper West Side. At Bank Street, students develop a lifelong love of learning and build the academic, social, emotional, and cognitive skills essential for success in school and in life.
Families travel from all over the city to attend Bank Street School for Children at 610 West 112th Street. Some families walk or bike to school, some drive, and many make use of the nearby 1 train stop at 110th Street or the convenient M104 and M60 public bus routes.
School Bus Service
Some families choose to take advantage of the school bus service that Bank Street offers for the following neighborhoods through the New York City Department of Education:
- Hudson Heights (West 180 through 190 Streets)
- Upper West Side (42nd Street and North)
Bus routes are determined by the Department of Education and are restricted to families that live in Manhattan and from within a certain distance to the school; however, additional routes and stops may be possible if there is enough interest from families in other neighborhoods.
