Tamara “Tami” Brown (She/Her/Hers) serves as the Director of Student Learning and Support at Bank Street School for Children.
Tami brings extensive experience in student support and educational leadership to our community. Most recently, she spent 15 years within the New York City Public Schools at PS/IS 89, where she served as an IEP Coordinator. Her background also includes 10 years at The Gateway School of NY as a Teacher and Partnership & Outreach Coach, as well as three years as an ABA Therapist with the Center for Autism & Related Disorders.
Prior to her career in education, Tami spent five years as a Professional Stage Manager for various regional and off-Broadway theaters.
Outside of work, Tami loves Pilates, taking walks on the beach, traveling with her husband and two daughters, and spending quality time with family and friends.
