José Guzmán joined Bank Street in 2003. He worked as a Child Life Specialist and as a middle school math/science teacher prior to working at Bank Street. He thinks that what makes Bank Street Special is our commitment to the emergent and the way in which we navigate the meaning making process for students. Jose spends his spare time doing what most people do: cooks, cleans, does laundry, and when he truly has spare time: he plays piano, builds and fixes things, and enjoys going fly fishing.
