Angie (she/her) empowers children’s voice and choice through the creation of a respectful and connected community in which all children and families see themselves reflected in the classroom and curriculum. Angie has taught 3/4s through 5/6s in the School for Children since 2015, and as a head teacher at other schools since 2004. Angie has also worked as a K-12 Curriculum Developer, Parent Educator (Conscious Discipline), and Museum Educator. At Bank Street, Angie values the joy and privilege of rediscovering the world through the experiences of current and former students while also benefiting from collaboration with reflective practitioners who share the lenses of child development, constructivist learning principles, and identity development. When she is not in the classroom, Angie enjoys time with her family and friends outdoors (photography, birding, and hiking) and indoors (reading sci-fi/fantasy and playing TTRPGs).
