After School & Early Morning Care

Our After School & Early Morning Care programs support families by providing a dynamic range of opportunities for students to pursue creative, intellectual, physical, and social interests outside of standard school hours. Through hands-on activities that encourage self-expression, children widen their social horizons by working with peers from various age groups while cultivating community.

After School

As part of our After School Program, which runs from school dismissal until 6:00 PM, families have the option to enroll their Lower School students in Kids Club activities, specialty enrichment classes, and music classes.

  • Kids Club | Preschool (3/4s) – Fourth Grade (9/10s)
    Kids Club runs Monday through Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 PM, with earlier pick-up times available. It includes snack, outdoor play on the play deck or roof, a daily special activity, and choice time in classrooms where students are grouped by age. Students also have the opportunity to work on their homework or read.
  • Enrichment Classes | Pre-Kindergarten (3/4s) – Fourth Grade (9/10s)
    Enrichment classes last 45 minutes. Activities include STEAM, fiber arts, dance, woodworking, clay, drama, tennis, and more.
  • Music Classes | Second Grade (7/8s) – Eighth Grade (13/14s)
    Small music classes of three to five students are offered to students in second grade (7/8s) and eighth grade (13/14s). Options include violin, keyboard, cello, guitar, and drums.

Schedule & Pricing for After School

Kids Club runs from school dismissal until 6:00 PM (M–F) with earlier pick-up times available. It includes snack, outdoor play on the play deck or roof, and choice time in classrooms where students are grouped by age. Students also have the opportunity to work on their homework or read. Specialty enrichment classes include drama, STEAM, woodworking, dance, clay, and tennis.

The specific price of Kids Club and specialty enrichment classes will vary depending on the class length, the age of the participant, and the number of session days in the semester. Families must make a semester-long commitment to selected weekdays they would like their children to attend. Included below is a snapshot of the Fall 2024 pricing.

Financial Aid for After School

After School tuition is priced in a way that is accessible for Bank Street families while allowing us to sustainably provide programming year after year. Students who receive a financial aid award for their School for Children tuition are automatically awarded Financial Aid for After School. The table below illustrates the After School financial aid structure. Please note that financial aid is applicable to all days of Kids Club and one enrichment class or music class per semester.

Early Morning Care

Early Morning Care (EMC) provides a warm, safe environment for students in kindergarten (4/5s) through fourth grade (9/10s) before the school day begins. EMC runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until school starts. Students participate in activities such as block building, board games, art, and more. Drop-ins are not available.

Financial Aid is not available for Early Morning Care. Included below is a snapshot of the Fall 2024 pricing.
