(June 15 – June 19)
(June 22 – June 26)
In this mini-session, campers will participate in a variety of theater activities, covering several areas of performance and art, including singing, dancing, writing, and improv, allowing campers’ creative impulses to run on all cylinders. No two sessions will be identical, and all skill levels are welcome!CREATIVE THEATER @ BANK STREET
(June 29 – June 24, closed 7/3)
(July 27 – August 7)
What is collaboration? How do many, sometimes different, parts come together to create a whole? In Creative Theater @ Bank Street you can write your own Broadway show based on a fable or tale. Creative Theater @ Bank Street (Cre-T) is a program that engages the full imagination as campers construct a piece of theater from scratch. Storytelling and creativity are the two pillars of Cre-T, and throughout the session campers will build upon source material to develop the script and songs, design and create production elements, and rehearse the project for a final culminating performance. During each step of the artistic process, campers will be asked to share, discuss, compromise, and play, fostering a collaborative environment that awakens and celebrates everyone’s intrinsic originality. The group will also attend a matinee performance on Broadway, date to be determined. No Camp Friday July 3.
Each group also swims twice a week.
